Security forces in Maysan arrested 5 suspects from both sides of a tribal quarrel that broke out between two clans in one of the areas of Al-Majar Al-Kabir district, south of the governorate. A statement by the Maysan Police Command, a copy of which was received by the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /, stated: "A force from the army and police headed to the scene of the incident and was able to impose a security cordon and conduct a series of raids and searches of the homes of those who caused the quarrel, which resulted in a citizen being injured by gunfire from both sides of the quarrel." It added: "The search operations and pursuit of the quarrelers led to the arrest of (5) suspects from both sides of the quarrel and the seizure of one of the vehicles, indicating that the suspects and the seized items were referred to the competent authorities to complete the legal procedures against them in accordance with the law."
