Baghdad Operations Command announced the arrest of an arms dealer and the seizure of weapons and ammunition inside his house in "Al-Fadhiliyah" area east of the capital. The Command stated in a statement: "In continuation of the security operations carried out by our units to enhance security and stability in all areas of the capital, Baghdad, with the aim of pursuing outlaws and eliminating the phenomenon of loose weapons, a force from the First Federal Police Division, in cooperation with detachments from (Al-Rashad Rescue Police, Al-Khansa Police Station), and after receiving accurate intelligence information, arrested an accused arms dealer, and seized unlicensed weapons and ammunition inside his house in "Al-Fadhiliya" area east of the capital, and handed him over with the seized materials to the competent authorities to complete the legal procedures against them."
