NABLUS: A group of Israeli colonists attacked three Palestinian young men today outside the village of Asira al-Qibliya, located south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources. Hafez Saleh, the head of the village council of Asira al-Qibliya, informed WAFA that a security guard from the nearby Yitzhar colony-illegally built on stolen Palestinian lands-accompanied by a group of colonists set up a roadblock at the entrance to the village. The colonists forcibly took three young men out of their vehicle and assaulted them as they attempted to pass through the roadblock, Saleh added. He said the assailants threatened to burn the vehicle if the three young men returned to the area. This is not the first time colonists have set up a roadblock at the village entrance, he further added, saying the locals have become accustomed to these checkpoints since October 7 of last year.
