Berlin - Ma'an - The Arab Women's Union in Germany - Berlin, visited the Palestinian Embassy and met with the Palestinian Ambassador, Laith Arafa, in the German capital, where he was briefed on the achievements and activities carried out by the Union and discussed some of the most important challenges facing Arab women abroad. The union seeks to continue working to improve the status of Arab women in Berlin and to advance their legal, economic, social and cultural conditions, and to listen to His Excellency the Ambassador to work on what can be achieved from all the interventions discussed by the sisters in succession, considering that all of this represents the right of women that eliminates manifestations of derogation from their human dignity and protects their rights. He added that also to enhance the role of the union, efforts must be coordinated and cooperation and the participatory approach must be strengthened between the various social, popular and official German institutions that seek to advance t he status of women in general. In loyalty to the steadfast struggles of Palestinian women, the discussion focused on following up and completing the preparations for the forum to support the steadfastness of Palestinian women inside and in the diaspora, which will be held soon in Berlin with the attendance of national, Arab and German figures. The forum will shed light on the struggle and role of Palestinian women and the honorable model to be emulated for Arab women. The meeting discussed ways of cooperation in various forms. On the sidelines of the forum, there will be an art exhibition and a large and diverse bazaar to support the steadfastness of Sudanese women who are currently living in tragic conditions under extremely difficult circumstances.
