An unknown person assaulted Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen in the Capital, Copenhagen, yesterday evening, Friday. The "Ritzau" Agency reported that the man approached the Prime Minister and attacked her in Kelltorwij Square in the Old City. Police arrested the attacker at the scene, but did not immediately issue any comment. The Prime Minister's office stated that she was "shocked by what happened." Frederiksen did not comment personally on the incident, nor was anything mentioned about her being harmed as a result of the attack. During the last days, Mette Frederiksen has been participating in the election campaign of her party partner, Christelle Schaldemusset, who is running in the European Parliament elections that will take place in Denmark tomorrow, Sunday.
