The college of medicine in Amran University on Thursday hosted a meeting chaired by member of the Supreme Political Council, Ahmed Ghaleb al-Rahwi. In the presence of the ministers of health and higher education, Dr. Taha al-Mutawakil and Hussein Hazib respectively, the meeting discussed the current situations in Amran, Dhalea, Dhamar and Hodeida Universities. At the meeting, rectors gave a brief on development of infrastructure in the four universities and potentialities to erect modern labs and new study halls. The meeting also discussed coordination between the universities to secure better outputs so as to meet the needs of local communities, where these universities are based, and of the local labor market. Curricula taught in government-run universities should be keep line with recent developments in different majors, the conveners said. The two universities of Dhalea and Dhamar signed an understanding memo consisting of seven items on academic cooperation. Source: Yemen News Agency
