Baghdad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani renewed, today, Tuesday, Iraq's firm and principled position in supporting the Palestinian cause and the struggle of its people in the occupied territories. A statement from his media office stated that "Al-Sudani received, today, Tuesday, the official spokesman for the Palestinian presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeina, in the presence of the Palestinian ambassador to Iraq. Abu Rudeina handed over a message to the Prime Minister from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, in which he expressed his deep thanks to the government and people of Iraq, for the positions in support of Palestine and its people, and the continued sending of aid to the people of Gaza who are subjected to blatant violations by the occupation forces. During the meeting, according to the statement, Al-Sudani reiterated Iraq's firm and principled position in supporting the Palestinian cause and the struggle of its people in the occupied territories, for the sake of gaining its independence and free dom and establishing its independent state with al-Quds as its capital. The Prime Minister indicated that the continuation of the brutal aggression against Gaza requires joint Arab and Islamic efforts to stop it and prevent the continuation of the genocide of hundreds of thousands of innocent people, stressing Iraq's continued efforts to alleviate the suffering of besieged civilians, just as it requires the international community and major powers to carry out their legal and moral role to stop the Zionist crime.'
