Al-Noor Center for the Blind and University Housing teams have secured their spots in the semi-finals of the Goalball Championship for the Blind, currently taking place at the 22nd May Club Hall in Sana'a. Al-Noor Center advanced to the semi-finals after a decisive 10-1 victory over the Cultural Center team. Mohammed al-Sabbak led the charge with five goals, supported by Bashar al-Nuba with four goals and Munir al-Dhabibi with one. Hassan Ali Rajih scored the lone goal for the Cultural Center. This win places al-Noor Center at the top of Group One with six points, while the Cultural Center holds second place with three points. In the second group, the University Housing Center solidified its position with an impressive 11-3 win over the Blind Association. Ayesh al-Hasani contributed five goals, Ziad al-Najri added three, and Ali Wathab scored two. Riyadh al-Qurashi and Asim Jamal scored for the Blind Association. University Housing leads Group Two with six points, and University Development follows in seco nd place with three points. The semi-final matchups scheduled for tomorrow will see al-Noor Center face off against University Development, while University Housing will compete against the Cultural Center team. The tournament features six teams: al-Noor Center for the Blind, Ebsar Center, the Cultural Center, the Blind Association, University Housing, and the Blind Development Center. Organized by the General Federation for Sports for Persons with Disabilities, the event is held over five days to commemorate the anniversary of the Prophet's birthday, with oversight from the Paralympic Committee and funding from the Youth and Sports Care Fund.
