Al-Noor Center and University Housing teams have advanced to the finals of the Goalball Championship for the Blind, taking place at the 22nd May Club Hall in Sana'a. In the semifinals, Al-Noor Center secured their spot in the final by defeating the Development team with a score of 12-6. Bashar Qaid led Al-Noor with eight goals, supported by Munir al-Dhubaibi with three and Muhammad al-Sabbak with one. The Development team's goals were equally split between Ali al-Hasani and Waddah al-Hasani. In the second semifinal, University Housing triumphed over the Cultural Center team with a dominant 13-7 victory. Ziad al-Najri contributed six goals, Ayesh al-Hasani added five, and Ali Wathab scored twice. The match for third place saw the Development team overcoming the Cultural Center team in a penalty shootout, with Radwan al-Qaini scoring both decisive goals after the game ended 8-8 in regulation. The tournament, organized by the General Federation for Sports for Persons with Disabilities, features six teams: A l-Noor Center for the Blind, Ebsar Center, Cultural Center, Association for the Blind, University Housing, and the Blind Development Center. The event, held in celebration of the Prophet's birthday, is supervised by the Paralympic Committee and the General Administration of Specialized Activities at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, with funding from the Youth, Sports, and Youth Care Fund. The day's matches were managed by a technical committee including Mohammed Haidar, Abdo Zayed, Saleh Mujammal, Majed Al-Imad, Marwan Hamid, Mona Al-Harasi, Najla Al-Zubairi, and Dr. Abdul Malik Al-Mutawakel.
