Acting governor of Taiz Ahmed al-Masawi on Thursday inaugurated Imam al-Hadi Mosque today in al-Hawban area. The mosque spans two floors over an area of 3,600 square meters, constructed at a cost of 350 million riyals, funded by a benefactor with oversight from the governorate's social unit. Al-Masawi commended the efforts that went into establishing this Islamic structure, emphasizing its importance as a vital resource for the community, which previously lacked mosques. He expressed hope that this model would inspire other mosques in the province, integrating their facilities and services with the Endowments Authority. Mobilization official for the province, Mohammed al-Khalidi, remarked on the context of ongoing aggression from American, Saudi, and Emirati forces, which have targeted mosques and harmed civilians. He noted, 'Today, by God's grace and the blessings of the Prophet's birthday, a benefactor has partnered with the social unit to open this mosque with its various facilities.' Mohammed al-Mali ki, Director of the Endowments Authority Office in the province, stated that the mosque's inauguration is a testament to the deep faith of the Yemeni people and praised the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council for their commitment to mosques and historical Islamic sites. Social unit official, Hamis al-Habari, highlighted that the mosque's opening coincides with the Prophet's birthday, aiming to serve as a comprehensive educational center for prayer, Quranic studies, Arabic language, and other religious knowledge.
