Al-Hakim stresses to Bafel Talabani the importance of maintaining democratic paths in the country

Baghdad, Head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar Al-Hakim, stressed the importance of preserving democratic paths in the country. A statement by Al-Hakim's office stated that he met this evening with the Head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Bafel Talabani. They exchanged congratulations on the approaching occasion of Eid al-Fitr, and wished our Iraqi people, with all its components, more security, well-being and prosperity. He stressed the importance of preserving democratic paths in the country, explaining that elections are one of these important and basic paths that preserve the system and the rights of everyone. He also emphasized Kurdistan's need for all the forces in it that influence its Kurdish and Iraqi scene. Al-Hakim stressed the necessity of stabilizing Kurdistan, which contributes positively to the stability of Iraq, as are all its arenas. Al-Hakim renewed the call to hold a session of the House of Representatives after the Eid Al-Fitr holiday and allocate it to electing a new Speake r of the House of Representatives. He said that filling the three presidencies of the components came to reassure them and make them aware of their presence and representation. Regarding the developments of events in Gaza, Al-Hakim renewed the call for the international community to assume its responsibility in pressuring the Zionist entity to implement the decision to stop the war and stop the daily massacres it commits against the people of the Gaza Strip.
