Baghdad, The head of the National State Forces Alliance, Ammar al-Hakim, called on the Sunni component to present a candidate for the presidency of the House of Representatives characterized by integrity and political experience. A statement from his office stated, "Al-Hakim received the head of Al-Azm Alliance, Muthanna Al-Samarrai, and discussed with him "developments in the Iraqi political scene, upcoming entitlements, and ways to support the government to implement its service and development plans." Al-Hakim reiterated his 'emphasis on the necessity of deciding on choosing a new speaker for the House of Representatives, indicating that the distribution of the three presidencies among the components came to reassure them and make them feel their contribution to representation and decision-making.' He also renewed his call "for the Sunni component to agree on a candidate for the presidency of the House of Representatives who is characterized by integrity, competence and political experience." In the G aza crisis, he also renewed his condemnation of 'the war crimes, genocide, and violations of international legitimacy and the laws issued by the UN Security Council,' noting that 'the world is concerned with the victory of the system of values, charters, and laws that the Israeli entity violates day and night.'
