Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed his regret over the continued silence of many Western countries, especially the United States, towards Israel's continued massacres in Gaza and Lebanon. Erdogan said in an interview with the American NBC News channel, on the sidelines of his participation in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly: "Unfortunately, many Western countries are still silent against Israel, and have not taken a position against it despite all its crimes in Gaza and Lebanon." He added: "Unfortunately, among NATO allies, there are countries that stand with Israel. We are now in the United States, which is one of these countries." He explained that US President Joe Biden criticizes Israel on one hand, but provides support to it in various ways on the other hand. He pointed out that the United States provided weapons and ammunition to Israel and sent an aircraft carrier to the Mediterranean to support it. Source: National Iraqi News Agency
