Acting Speaker of the Council of Representatives Mohsen Al-Mandalawi discussed with the Minister of Communications Hiyam Al-Yasiri a number of files and topics of interest to the ministry. Al-Mandalawi's office stated in a statement: "Al-Mandalawi received Al-Yasiri today and discussed with her the vision and plans of the ministry in developing the communications sector, and the problems and challenges that hinder the work of the ministry. The statement explained that it was agreed to maintain coordination between it and the Parliamentary Transport and Communications Committee in a way that contributes to maturing proposals, supporting projects, and removing obstacles that the Ministry of Communications may face in the service of the citizen and the public interest."
