The New Generation parliamentary bloc criticized the repeated assault on graduate demonstrators with medical and health professions by security forces. The Head of the bloc, MP Sarwa Abdul Wahid, said, "For the thousandth time, the same scene is repeated and the same tragedy is repeated, represented by the security forces' bullying, especially the riot police, on peaceful demonstrators from the flower of society, our young graduates demanding their most basic constitutional, legal and human rights represented in providing a source of livelihood and a job opportunity to live in dignity," wondering, "Has dignity become taboo in this country!? Or do the authorities no longer care whether their name is the law enforcement forces or the violation of the law and the decline of it and morals, values and principles to the lowest of the low!?" She added, "The repressive authorities armed with weapons do not need to be reminded that what happened today, September 3, in terms of attacks on peaceful demonstrators from the medical and health professions, is a violation of the most basic principles of human rights and standards of societal peace." She explained, "The reminder that we present to those who carried out this heinous act is that the horrific scenes of today's incidents against demonstrators in general, and in particular the beating of (female demonstrators) from our daughters and dragging them through the streets is a loss of manhood as well as a lack of Iraqi jealousy."
