Six militants were killed during two seperate security operations carried out by Pakistani army forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, northwestern Pakistan. The Pakistani army said in a statement that their forces carried out a security operation last night, based on intelligence information about the presence of militants in the Dera Ismail Khan area, which resulted in the killing of five militants. In a similar context, security forces were able to eliminate a gunman in another security operation in the North Waziristan. The six killed were involved in targeting security personnel and civilians in the area. Weapons and ammunition were also found in their possession, the statement added.
