Jenin: Palestinian prisoners' institutions reported that during February 2025, Israeli forces detained 762 Palestinians, including 19 women and 90 children. The highest number of detentions occurred in Jenin and its refugee camp, accompanied by an increase in field investigations affecting hundreds of citizens.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, a report issued by the institutions identified four slain Palestinians, two of whom were announced during February. Musaab Haniya was killed on January 5, 2025, and Raafat Abu Fnouna on February 26, 2025.
Since October 7, 2023, a total of 15,640 Palestinians have been detained in the West Bank, including those still in detention and those later released. No data is available regarding detentions in Gaza.
The report also noted that since October 7, 2023, over 490 women have been detained, including those from the 1948-occupied territories and Gazan women detained in the West Bank. This figure does not account for women detained in Gaza, with their number estimated to be in the dozens.
Since the start of the aggression on Jenin and its refugee camp, approximately 300 detentions have been reported. Similarly, about 200 Palestinians have been detained since the aggression on Tulkarem and its camps began 43 days ago.
These figures exclude detentions in Gaza, where Israeli authorities have implemented a policy of enforced disappearance against detainees. The Israeli government has confirmed the detention of thousands from Gaza, with hundreds eventually released.
