Israeli military forces arrested 59 Palestinians in sweeps on Monday across villages near Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Prisoners Club said. It said troops stormed into the town of Silwad, east of Ramallah, searched homes, held up and interrogated dozens of youths and arrested 29, many were beaten up. In the town of Kufr Ni'mah, west of Ramallah in the central West Bank, Israeli forces rounded up more than 30 people in an "unprecedented arrest campaign."
