The intelligence service of the Iranian police forces announced today, Thursday, the arrest of a spy working for the Israeli Mossad in Qom province, central Iran. A statement by the intelligence service said that "its forces were able to arrest one of the elements of the terrorist Israeli Mossad in Qom province." The statement stated that "following the killing of the late President Ebrahim Raisi and his companions as a result of the crash of the presidential plane, this person, under the identity of "Sayyed Hassan Faqih," worked to incite riots," adding that "Hassan Faqih has many previous records of riots and published insulting tweets against Raisi and his companions." He added that "in the criminal proceedings and information evacuation of digital devices, documents were found about his association with the terrorist organization Mossad, his media role, and his cooperation with anti-revolutionary satellite networks, and the accused was referred to prison by order of the court and the case is still unde r investigation." On June 5, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced the arrest of a spy working for Mossad in Ardabil province, northwest Iran. The Revolutionary Guards' Fars News Agency quoted a security source as saying that "the person who was arrested is a resident of one of the southern provinces of the country, where he collected information that Mossad needed from inside Iran." He said, "The person in question was in contact with senior officers of the Mossad's spy agency via a social network, and under the cover of editorial activity, he was collecting information that Mossad needed from inside the country." The security source said, "After being in several provinces with the intention of hiding and finally leaving the country, he was arrested as soon as he entered Ardabil during a surprise operation."
