At least five people were killed and 50 others were injured when a stage collapsed during a rally for Mexican presidential election candidate Jorge Alvarez Maynez in the city of San Pedro Garza Garcia, in the state of Nuevo Leon, northern Mexico. A tragedy occurred, as there are initially five dead, and about 50 wounded with various injuries, some of them serious, State Governor Samuel Garcia said. Candidate Jorge Alvarez Maynez said that a strong storm caused the stage to collapse during the event, explaining that he was fine after being transferred to a local hospital, but members of his team were injured in the accident.
