Gaza: Over 35,000 families in the Gaza Strip are currently experiencing a severe shortage of basic supplies, as reported by medical officials. This shortage has been exacerbated by cold waves and heavy rains, which have led to dire living conditions and even the death of children due to the cold.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Mohammed Abu Afash, Director of Medical Relief in Gaza, highlighted that the situation is worsening as essential items such as blankets, tents, and heating devices remain scarce. In an interview with the Voice of Palestine Radio, Abu Afash emphasized that the ongoing shortages continue to affect thousands of families in the region.
Abu Afash further stated that the Gaza Strip urgently requires 60,000 caravans and 200,000 tents to provide adequate relief to its citizens. He called upon international institutions to exert pressure on the occupying forces to allow the entry of much-needed aid into the area.
