Mexico City, An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale struck Chiapas state in southern Mexico on Tuesday. The epicenter of the earthquake occurred 2 km from the city of Villa Corzo, at a depth of 142.6 km, the US Geological Survey said. There have been no reports of material damage or casualties as a result of the earthquake. The last strong earthquake in Mexico dates back to Sep. 2017, when it struck the capital, Mexico City, and the neighboring states of Murillo and Puebla, killing 370 people. Source: Qatar News Agency
