The Ministry of Interior announced today, Sunday, the arrest of 16 foreign defendants in Baghdad in violation of the Iraqi residency law. The Ministry said in a statement: 'The leadership of the Rapid Response Division in the Ministry of Interior continues its security operations to impose security, stability, and law enforcement, as the First Brigade was able to arrest 16 defendants, 14 of whom were foreigners in violation of the Iraqi residency law in Al-Shaab, Al-Basateen neighborhood, and Sab'a Qusour areas.' The statement added: 'This security operation comes in cooperation with the leadership of the Federal Police Forces and in coordination with the Rapid Response Intelligence Department.
