Basra Police arrested today (12) suspects and confiscated various weapons during preemptive security operations. The Basra Police Command said in a statement: "Joint detachments from the Emergency Regiments Directorate, the Tactical Unit, the Maqal Police Department, the Hadi Police Station and Intelligence, carried out a preemptive security operation today in the Al-Kazaiza area, which resulted in the arrest of (12) suspects in criminal cases and various legal materials." It added: "6 Kalashnikov rifles, 4 pistols, and a BKC machine gun with an ammunition belt were seized, and the necessary legal measures were taken against them and they were referred with the seized items to the competent authorities in accordance with the law.
