HEBRON: Israeli colonists, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, desecrated the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron's Old City on Monday night, according to eyewitnesses. According to local sources, hundreds of colonists desecrated the mosque's courtyards and performed Talmudic dances to the sound of loud music. Eyewitnesses reported that the colonists, escorted by heavily armed soldiers, stormed the mosque's courtyards and set up large speakers and screens there in a blatant violation of places of worship. Earlier in the day, Israeli forces imposed stringent military measures in the vicinity of the mosque and the Old City, restricting the movement of Palestinians to allow colonists' raids. Earlier today, Israeli occupation authorities prevented members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the State of Palestine from entering ??the Ibrahimi Mosque area in the Old city of Hebron during a tour visit to the city to gain first-hand knowledge of the situation in light of Israeli forces and colonists ongoin g violations.
