A statement by the Presidency of the Judicial Council stated: "Judge Faiq Zaidan received, today, Monday, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Iraq, Elbrus Kotrashev." It added: "The two parties discussed the follow-up to the implementation of the memorandum of understanding signed by the Supreme Judicial Council with the Russian Public Prosecution."
