Youth and Sports Minister Dr. Mohammed Al-Mawlad honored on Wednesday the star of the national kung fu team, Tharwat Al-Sindi, and his coach Naji Al-Ashoul, for the achievement of the player during his participation in the tournament hosted by the Chinese city of Jiangsu in April 2024, and snatched a gold medal in the 48 kg weight. With this medal, Al-Sindi qualified for the finals of the World Kung Fu Cup, which will be held in Australia in November next year. During the ceremony, which was attended by the Assistant Undersecretary for the Sports Sector, Dr. Kamal Al-Sharif, and the Financial Director of the Youth and Youth Welfare Fund, Yassin Muawadah, Minister Al-Mawlad affirmed that the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Youth Welfare Fund pay great attention to such achievements of Yemeni champions abroad, wishing the player and coach success in the upcoming world championship. For his part, President of the Yemeni Kung Fu Federation Mohammed Rauh appreciated the minister's initiative to honor the player , coach, and to fulfill the financial reward for this achievement, which will give them a double incentive to honor the country in Australia.
