The draw ceremony for the Super Cup Championship for clubs was held at the headquarters of the Yemeni General Basketball Federation in Sana'a on Thursday. The clubs that won the first four places in the classification league held last year will participate in the championship, namely: al-Wahdat Sana'a, al-Ahly Sana'a, al-Tilal, and Shaab Hadramout, respectively. The Super Championship will be held to launch the 2024 basketball sports season, to be followed by the rest of the season's championships and competitions. The draw was conducted by the Secretary-General of the Yemeni General Basketball Federation, Jamal Ibrahim, the Chairman of the 3 x 3 Committee, Ashraf Sharaf al-Din, and the member of the Competitions Committee, Adel Sharkha. The draw resulted in the matches of the tournament, which will be hosted by the indoor hall in the city of Seiyun during the period from August 29 to September 2, as follows: Wahdat Sana'a x Ahli Sana'a Shaab Hadramaut x al-Tilal Wahdat Sana'a x Shaab Hadramaut Ahli S ana'a x al-Tilal Ahli Sana'a x Shaab Hadramaut Wahda Sana'a x al-Tilal During the draw, the Secretary-General of the Federation explained that the competitions of this tournament will be held in a one-round, all-for-all system, noting that the Super Cup champion will represent Yemen in the Arab Clubs Championship, which will be held in the Egyptian city of Alexandria next October. Captain Jamal reviewed the tournament regulations and the obligations and conditions for the participating teams, indicating that the regulations allowed the registration of one professional player for each club.
