Woman Sustains Wounds from Israeli Army Gunfire South of Bethlehem.

Bethlehem: A Palestinian woman sustained wounds from Israeli army gunfire in al-Khader town, south of the occupied West Bank city of Bethlehem, on Thursday evening. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its crews administered first aid to a woman who suffered injuries to her face and hands. The wounds resulted from shrapnel and broken glass after Israeli occupation forces fired a teargas canister towards her vehicle. This incident occurred following the deployment of Israeli occupation forces into the town. They moved through several neighborhoods, firing teargas canisters and concussion bombs, which led to numerous suffocation cases among the residents. Israeli occupation forces conduct frequent raids on Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank, citing the need to search for "wanted" Palestinians. These operations often provoke clashes with residents. The raids, carried out in areas fully controlled by the Palestin ian Authority, require no search warrant, as the military possesses extensive arbitrary powers. Under Israeli military law, army commanders hold complete executive, legislative, and judicial authority over the approximately 3 million Palestinians residing in the West Bank. Palestinians do not have any influence over how this authority is exercised.
