RAMALLAH: Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the Director-General of the World Health Organization, said on Tuesday that 'the decimation of the Gaza health system is a tragedy. The WHO Director-General took to his official page on X, formerly Twitter, to say that doctors in Gaza continue to save lives in the face of insecurity. "But in the face of constant insecurity and inflows of wounded patients, we see doctors, nurses, ambulance drivers and more continue striving to save lives," he said. "WHO and our health partners will continue working side by side with you, delivering supplies, supporting the provision of care, and transferring the seriously wounded," he added. "And we persist in calling for #CeasefireNow," he concluded. Source: Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA
