Gaza city: World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus called for the continued and increased flow of health aid to the Gaza Strip, which is under a stifling Israeli blockade. In a post on X on Sunday, Ghebreyesus explained that the lives and survival of the people in Gaza depend on the entry of aid into the Strip.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Ghebreyesus highlighted that the WHO has delivered 24 trucks loaded with medical supplies to Gaza since August 1, including essential medicines and other medical supplies. He indicated that these supplies will be delivered to health centers and hospitals, emphasizing the crucial role these resources play in supporting the region's healthcare infrastructure.
