Minister of Interior Abdul Amir Al-Shammari chaired a security meeting today, Wednesday, which included the Undersecretaries of the Ministry for Police and Intelligence Affairs, a number of leaders in the Karkh and Rusafa sides, and the directors of intelligence and rescue. The Minister's media office stated in a statement: "Al-Shammari appreciated the great efforts made by the intelligence agencies as well as the rest of the joints and formations of the Ministry of Interior to revive the Arbaeen visit of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, praising the mechanism for implementing the drawn plans, especially during the million-person visits that witness the influx of large numbers of visitors from inside and outside the country." The Minister listened to a brief explanation by the attending leaders, and discussed with them the strengths of the plans and how to overcome challenges and put immediate solutions to all observations with the aim of providing a safe and appropriate atmosphere on all occasions and pro viding the best services during the major occasions witnessed by Iraq.
