Washington: The US Treasury Department announced on Monday that it will impose sanctions on the Israeli organization Amana and its subsidiary Binyanei Bar Amana due to their involvement in financing and supporting colonial activities, and individuals implicated in violence against Palestinian civilians in the occupied West Bank. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the US Treasury Department stated that Amana, which specializes in building and developing colonies, is actively expanding construction in a manner that threatens regional peace and stability. The sanctions specifically target the organization and its company Binyanei Bar Amana within the United States, both of which are involved in constructing colonies and colonial outposts in the West Bank. The imposed sanctions entail the freezing of assets belonging to the organization and its subsidiary in the United States, along with prohibiting any financial transactions with them by American individuals or institutions. The US Tre asury emphasized that the Israeli organization utilizes its financial resources and infrastructure to broaden colonies and seize Palestinian lands in the West Bank.
