RAMALLAH: A Thirteen-year-old child was killed today after being shot by Israeli forces' gunfire in the town of Deir Abu Mash'al, in the Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate. According to the Ministry of Health, the child, who was identified as Ghassan Gharib Zahran, succumbed to critical wounds he sustained after being shot by Israeli soldiers. Local sources reported that the occupation forces set up an ambush on the colonial street adjacent to the village, and opened live fire at several children present nearby, shooting and critically injuring Zahran, 13, in his stomach. He was transferred to a medical clinic in the village before being taken by ambulance to the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah, where he succumbed to his critical wounds shortly after. The killing of Zahran brings the number of Palestinians in the West Bank since October 7, 2023, to 572, including 137 children, in addition to about 5,350 injury cases.
