JORDAN VALLEY: Israeli occupation forces Sunday shot and killed a Palestinian woman while she was passing through al-Hamra military checkpoint in the northern Jordan Valley. Local sources said that the occupation forces shot a woman, who was later identified to be Manal Sawafta, 40, from Tubas, and prevented medical crews from approaching her. The Israeli troops claimed that Sawafta attempted to carry out a stabbing attack against them. The sources added that the occupation closed the military checkpoint in both directions. The occupation forces set up al-Hamra military checkpoint at a crossroads linking the cities of the West Bank with the central, southern and northern Jordan Valley.
