The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) has warned of an imminent health disaster due to the "mountains" of garbage piling up in the central areas of the Gaza Strip, in addition to the leakage of sewage onto the streets. "Sanitary and living conditions across Gaza are inhumane," UNRWA said in a post on its official X account. "Families have no choice but to live beside the accumulated waste, exposed to the reek and the threat of a looming health disaster," UNRWA concluded. Source: Jordan News Agency
