NEW YORK: The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) sais on Monday that the death toll of its workers in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the war has risen to 207. The announcement came in conjunction with World Humanitarian Day, which falls on August 19 of each year. The UN organization added in a statement that "207 UNRWA team members have been killed in #Gaza since the war began - including in the line of duty." "They were engineers, teachers, medical staff. They were humanitarian workers. On WorldHumanitarianDay and every day we remember and pay tribute to them all," it added. On August 9, UNRWA revealed that 205 humanitarian workers had been killed by Israeli forces in Gaza since October 7. Source: Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA
