NEW YORK: The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) said that families in the besieged Gaza Strip continue to be forced to flee, amid new evacuation orders by the Israeli occupation. 'But there's nowhere safe for displaced people to go: bombardments continue across the Gaza Strip, and people have to move back to destroyed areas despite the threat of unexploded ordnance,' said UNRWA in a post on X. UNRWA reiterated its demand for an immediate ceasefire, calling for: 'Ceasefire Now.' Nearly 1.9 million Palestinians have been forcibly displaced since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, added UNRWA.
