The Ministry of Interior announced today, Saturday, the seizure of unlicensed weapons and ammunition during a search operation in Baghdad.
The ministry said in a statement, that as part of the ongoing security efforts of the federal police units aimed at restricting weapons to the state to ensure the security and safety of citizens, a force from the 1st Brigade, 1st Division, Federal Police carried out an inspection of unlicensed weapons in (Al-Amin) area.
It added that the inspection resulted in finding (4) rifles of different types, (13) rifle magazines containing (154) bullets, (3) pistols, (3) pistol magazines, and an ordinary binocular with a bag.
It continued, and all materials were seized and dealt with in a proper manner.
