The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) confirmed that it had monitored an Israeli Merkava tank firing at one of its observation towers near the town of Kfar Kila in southern Lebanon, in a new Israeli violation against UNIFIL. UNIFIL reminded the Israeli army and all parties of their obligations to ensure the safety and security of UN personnel and to respect its buildings. Source: National Iraqi News Agency
