Gaza - Ma'an - The United Nations said that more than 180,000 citizens were forced to flee during four days of the ongoing Israeli occupation aggression on the city of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs reported that the recent "intense hostilities" in the Khan Younis area have resulted in new waves of internal displacement across Gaza. He added that about 182,000 people were displaced from central and eastern Khan Younis between Monday and Thursday, while hundreds of others are still stuck in eastern Khan Younis. The occupation army issued orders on Monday to evacuate parts of the southern city, announcing that its forces would "operate forcefully" there, including in an area previously declared "safe." According to UN figures, the vast majority of Gaza's 2.4 million people have been displaced at least once by fighting. The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) said yesterday, Friday, that 9 o ut of every 10 Palestinians have been forcibly displaced in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the aggression. The Israeli occupation has continued its aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, which resulted in the martyrdom of 39,175 citizens, the majority of whom were women and children, and the injury of 90,403 others, in an incomplete toll, as thousands of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, and ambulance and rescue crews cannot reach them.
