New York: The United Nations on Monday emphasized the necessity of preserving and respecting the status quo in Jerusalem. "We are always very concerned about any provocations at the holy sites in Jerusalem. There is a status quo that must be preserved, respected, and taken into account," the UN spokesperson, Stéphane Dujarric, said in the daily press conference.
