Kyiv, Ukrainian Army announced Monday that the number of Russian troops killed and wounded since the beginning of the Russian war on Ukraine in February 2022 has amounted to about 519,750 troops, including another 1,190 troops killed or wounded in action in the past day. The Ukrainian defenders have also destroyed 7,879 enemy tanks (+10 in the past day), 15,144 armored combat vehicles (+13), 13,644 artillery systems (+51), 1,098 multiple launch rocket systems (+1), 837 air defense systems (+1), 358 aircraft (+1), 326 helicopters, 11,010 unmanned aerial vehicles (+28), 2,278 cruise missiles (+1), 28 warships/cutters, 1 submarine, 18,618 motor vehicles (+56), and 2,267 special equipment units (+14), the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in a post on Facebook. Since the outbreak of the military operation in Ukraine in 2022, conflicting reports have emerged regarding the extent of losses suffered by both sides of the conflict.
