UK Foreign Secretary, David Lammy, has called for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, which has been exposed to an unprecedented Israeli aggression since Oct. 7, 2023. In a statement on Monday, during his visit to the occupied Palestinian territories, Lammy stressed the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire, release of hostages, protection of civilians, and maintain unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza. He underlined the importance of finding a way to forge the two-state solution, emphasizing the importance of ending the unlawful Israeli settlement expansion and the surging settlers' violence in the occupied West Bank. Since Oct. 7, 2023, the Israeli entity has been launching a devastating war on the Gaza Strip and committing horrendous massacres that led to the martyrdom of 38,664 Palestinians, and injuring 89,097, in addition to over 10,000 missing people amid massive devastation and famine that claimed lives of dozens of children.
