London: The UK government has strongly condemned Israeli strikes near schools and safe areas in Gaza. Reports of civilian deaths in Khan Younis and across Gaza are appalling, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCDO) said on its X account on Wednesday. "We need an immediate ceasefire and the protection of Palestinian civilians," the FCDO emphasized, citing Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs, David Lammy.
