Two Palestinian youths were injured before dawn todsy during confrontations that erupted with Israeli occupation forces who raided Deir Ammar refugee camp, west of Ramallah, to punitively demolish a house, according to local sources. Confrontations broke out following an Israeli military incursion into the town of Deir Ammar and its camp, during which forces attacked residents with live ammunition, shooting and injuring two young men in the foot. They were transferred to hospital for medical treatment. Sources said that forces surrounded the house of Dawood Abdel-Razeq Darras, 41, who was killed by Israeli forces' gunfire on August 3rd, and proceeded to blow up the first floor apartment in a building. Israeli soldiers reportedly raided nearby several houses, forced their inhabitants to leave, and took over the rooftops, turning them into military outposts. Israel resorts to punitively demolish the family homes of any Palestinians - as a means of deterrence - accused of being involved in attacks against I sraelis, a policy that Israel does not use against Israeli settlers who were involved in fatal attacks against Palestinians. Al-Haq human rights group slammed the punitive home demolition of Palestinians suspected of being involved in attacks against Israelis, as a collective punishment and stressed that per humanitarian and human rights laws; it is assessed as a war crime and a crime against humanity. B'Tselem, an Israeli human rights group, says: 'The people who bear the brunt of the [punitive] demolitions are relatives - including women, the elderly, and children - whom Israel does not suspect of involvement in any offense.'
