Post: Two Minors Sustain Injuries from Israeli Army Gunfire Near Jenin

Jenin: Two minors on Monday evening sustained injuries from Israeli army gunfire in al-Yamun town, west of the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the PRCS reported that its crews evacuated two children, both aged 15, to a hospital after they were injured by Israeli army live ammunition; one suffered an injury to the neck and the other to the thigh.

Local sources noted that the occupation forces entered the town, where they searched a resident's house, closed a store, and fired live ammunition and tear gas canisters.

The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for 'wanted' Palestinians, which often leads to clashes with residents.

These raids are conducted without a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses, due to its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law, army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
