Two citizens injured and homes set ablaze in attack by colonists on Jalud village

Two Palestinian citizens were injured this evening, and three homes along with a poultry farm were set on fire during an attack by Israeli colonist militias in the village of Jalud, located south of Nablus in the northern West Bank. The Palestinian Red Crescent in Nablus reported that the two individuals sustained injuries and bruises to their faces and heads after being assaulted by colonists in Jalud. They were subsequently transported to hospital for medical treatment. Raed Haj Mohammed, head of the Jalud village council, stated that colonists targeted the eastern side of the village, igniting flames in three homes, a poultry farm, and surrounding agricultural land. Haj Mohammed added that the colonists detained several local residents for a period of time, preventing families who were harvesting olives in the area from returning to their homes due to the ongoing fire. Since October 7, 2023, Israeli occupation forces and colonists have carried out a total of 16,663 assaults, resulting in the murder of 19 Palestinians at the hands of colonists. Furthermore, these forces have ignited approximately 275 fires in Palestinian properties and fields, with Nablus witnessing 120 incidents, followed by Ramallah with 42 and Jenin with 26, according to the PLO's Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission.
