Turkiye advanced to the Euro 2024 quarterfinals after a dramatic (2-1) win against Austria on Tuesday. The match which was played on the grounds of the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig saw a dramatic end, Merih Demiral scored the first goal for Turkiye in the first minute of the game followed by his second goal in the 59th minute. Shortly after, Michael Gregoritsch bagged one for Austria in the 66th minute giving his team hope until the final whistle, Turkiye, however came out on top in this stage qualifying to the quarterfinals where they will face the Netherlands.
