The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced Wednesday that it had neutralized a total of eight militants of Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in operations in northern Iraq and northern Syria. In a statement, the Turkish Ministry of Defense highlighted that its armed forces had eliminated the militants in Hakurk area in northern Iraq and the area of Operation Olive Branch in northern Syria. Turkish security forces have been conducting multi-year operations to track down people suspected of belonging to ISIS group and PKK, because the two groups engage in launching attacks and detonating explosive devices that target civilians and military men.
